Progesterone - oral or vaginal?

My doctor prescribed 100 mg of progesterone because my level was around 11 at 5.1 weeks. He said I can use vaginal or orally? I heard there a less side effects if you use vaginal but the pharmacist said that orally can be absorbed better into the bloodstream. Suggestions?

I used vaginal with my first pregnancy and I am doing vaginal again with this one. When I was pregnant with my first I had very little nausea so it didn’t really cause that bad of side effects. This time I have been in for only a few days and I will be 6 weeks on Wednesday and I feel a little queasy but not bad at all.

I’m on 100 orally. No side effects. I just take it right before bed. Since then my doc said my numbers look great.
