What does your baby sleep in!

My baby is 5 months ( we live in the UK ) and she sleeps in a 3.5 tog grow bag, a short sleeved vest and a all in one suit, however she still feels chilly on her face some times. Our house is normal, not cold. Some nights I have to put the bathroom window on the vent due to it being hot, I sleep with nothing on and a 13.5 duvet and in the night when I’m feeding her I get cold. What I am wondering is could my baby suffer with the cold more than others? She is waking a lot and I don’t understand why. Any ideas ? Thank you

My house is like a sauna so I usually have the opposite issue so her bedroom window is always open on the latch. we have invested in a honeywell heating system that keeps her room at 20 degrees and comes on automatically if it drops below. My daughter (10months) sleeps in a 1 tog sleep bag atm and has a sleep suit and long sleeve vest on (her arms get cold). A babies face may feel cold but that’s not an indication if they are cold. Feel baby’s chest or back to see, if it’s cold she’s cold if it’s sweaty she’s too hot.
I used this a lot to help me get to grips with temperatures and baby’s sleep 😊👍🏼

My 4m old son is the same...I think he needs one more layer than I would expect, if that makes sense? I’m doing a long sleeved vest, babygrow, socks & a sleeping bag tonight 🤞🏻

Our heating automatically kicks in as soon as the house temp drops below 20 degrees my son sleeps in a vest short sleeve pj top and bottoms and a cellular blanket and even then he gets a bit warm x

Do you know the temp in babies room? Like on your monitors or an egg or something? X

Never go by their face hands or feet as they should be cold. They don’t develop great circulation until later on in life. You certainly don’t want to overheat baby as they can’t regulate their own temperature until at least nine months. I’d get a room thermometer to double check the temp overnight but as long as it’s around 16 you should be fine with a 3.5 tog duvet. To check if baby is warm you can put your fingers inside their vest and feel their back. You can do this when outside too, as long as it’s warm baby is fine! :)

I’d say if anything if ur house is def not cold and she’s in a 3.5 tog and she’s waking a lot she’s most prob sweating rather then cold

But I sleep in nothing and she is wrapped up, my house is definitely not cold. I might try keeping the heating on until midnight instead of 10pm and make it come on earlier too
