Hello there.

My BF is in the Air Force, we met pretty much when he got stationed here (Japan) 1y ago.

We adore each other, I know he is the one ! but also I never thought about marriage till he told me how short his period here is.

He also told me I could quit my job, work freelance or do whatever I want if we get married. (I know nothing about the military life so this is a very new concept to me ....(?))

It makes sense so we can stay together when he gets deployed somewhere else. But he also wants to just get out and start going to school soon.

I don't know where I fit in all this.

I have a good job here. I'm not American or Japanese but Japan is my home now. Studied and worked so hard here, if I quit and then move to a different place I feel like it's going to be even harder to go back to work. Can we survive like that? Specially if in a few years he goes back to school....!

Not sure how to process this.

Am I overthinking?

Anyone here has had a similar experience?
