Sin or no?

Question

Is having sexual *thoughts* a sin or being immoral? Or is it okay as long as nothing comes of it and you don’t think about it a lot? I’m sorry, I just want to know because I’m a teen and I feel so bad when things like this come to my head and I feel like I’m sinning so I feel guilty.

Random thoughts that enter your head are one thing. If you put them out of your mind, thats ok. I f you entertain them and start fantasizing, that’s a sin. We’re meant to “hold every thought captive”

I agree with others that when these thoughts initially come, it’s not a sin. Dwelling on them, however, would be as it leads to lust. Take a moment to pray any time you have them! I speak from experience that your thought life can very sneakily become action. The more you dwell on a temptation, the less likely you will be able to resist. This comes with all sorts of thoughts whether it’s dwelling on sex, anger, jealousy, etc. That is why we are called to take our thoughts captive.

It's normal and okay to have sexual thoughts and fantasies. Just be sure that if you act upon them it's consensual. And, you know, under legal circumstances.

It’s normal and it isn’t a sin as long as you don’t act on that thought. Here is some advise I have- whenever you get those thoughts turn it into prayer! Immediately tell God that you are not okay with thinking those thoughts and pray that he would give you Godly thoughts. Rebuke those sexual thoughts in the name of Jesus!

If you don’t actively seek out those thoughts, it’s okay. So long as you’re doing you’re best to be moral.
