37 Weeks & 4 Days

Hey all,

1st time mom and poster.

As I mentioned I am 37/4 I went into L&D this morning as I thought my water broke in the middle of the night (trickles), have been having contractions and brownish discharge when I wiped. So the doctors at L&D tested me with a swab which determines if it was my water breaking, unfortunately it wasn't. But I have been having contractions which lasts about 1 min every 7-10 mins. Which I have mentioned to the doctor, they check and I am about 2cm dilated. So they sent me home.

I just don't know what to do from here.. I'm still getting contractions but this time I probably get contractions 5-8 mins apart. I just don't wanna go back to the hospital and get sent home, again.

- Should I wait till it actually hurts that I can no longer walk?

- Also can I get contractions without my water breaking?

- Anyone with similar problems, if so how long did it take for you to go into labor?
