Can my husband come to the dr with me?

I have an appointment on Monday where they will be doing a pap, pelvic, and possibly an ultrasound because I'll be almost nine weeks pregnant. I don't want to go alone, so can my husband stay with me the whole time, even during the exam? Do doctors allow that? Thank you!
