Blood in toilet when pooping? TMI

I had a VERY hard/too big poop and I think it might have ripped me. After it I took a laxative to help and it did help the poop soften a lot and it’s small now. But every time I’ve pooped today there’s been blood in the toilet (yes I’m sure it’s from my ass and not from my vagina). I’ve googled it and EVERYTHING I’ve read says it’s fine and constipation can do that just to let it heal and take laxative. I’ve never seen that much blood come out of an asshole. Is it really fine? I told my mom and she also said it’s fine I just need to change my diet to stop being constipated. The blood is concerning me. It’s definitely not just a little. It’s like a period.
