what would you do?

Ok so now all of a sudden my SO wants to have a baby, but when I was pregnant back in April 2018 that ended up being ectopic he didn’t want the baby, he say he wasnt ready but prior to that he asked me everyday am I gone have his baby even if we were sleep he’ll wake up out of his sleep to ask me but anyways now he tells me he wants a baby so I tell him no I’m on birth control (which I’m not) I want a baby I really do but from previous experience I don’t think I can handle that. am I wrong for lying to him about being on birth control?
