Nurse left gauze pads inside of me after birth

TriSh • expecting baby #1!

6 days ago I gave birth to my beautiful daughter. Afterwards I had extreme pain. This is my first child so I thought it was normal to still be in such pain. But after doing some research I concluded that I must have some type of infection from the stitches because of the odor from my vagina. Tonight I decided to go to the hospital to have it checked out. Turns out the nurse left an alarming amount of gauze pads inside of me. The doctor removed them and told me I had come in time and prescribed me some antibiotics to take for two weeks.

I am going to take legal action to get justice for what I have been going through and will continue to go through because of this experience.

Also.. Is it possible that I can still go into septic shock even after it has been removed? (this is my current fear)
