Tens machine - worth it?

Good evening ladies,

At my ‘Bump and Baby’ class, the midwife told us about some of the benefits of using a TENs machine during labour.

Do any of you experience of this? And did you find it useful?

Leading on from this, I also wanted to know whether people bought a machine or hired one? I have had a quick look and it’s seems you can hire one for about £25 for 6/7 weeks but buy one from about £30? However, I have absolutely no idea what functions to look for when either buying or hiring so wondered whether anyone had suggestions.
