Water broke

My water broke at approx 6:30 tonight. We went in and got checked and I’m still ONLY 1cm dilated. I was sent home and told to come back at 9:00am to check on baby but told they let women go for about 24 hours if not days before induction or intervention of any sort. This totally threw me off, not that I should complain because I’m in the comfort of my own home but I was legit thinking I was going to be admitted for the night. ... what’s your water breaking story?! Give this momma some hope!
