How could a "parent" do this?!?!?!

December 21, 2018 My life went to hell and changed. Quick back story: I have two children and my oldest (6) lived with my ex (another story for another day). He spent every other weekend with me and days off or school vacations. Well that day was a normal day, was at work on lunch. I noticed my phone ringing and it said "private number" so I didn't answer waited for a voice mail. There is where my soul left my body, the voicemail was from a lady from DCF (Department of Children and Families) instant panic attack. Here I'm thinking "did my ex make up some BS about me?". I run to my boss in full tears, she tries to reassure me it's okay. So I go into the bathroom to wash my face. Missed call from local Police Department, at this point I swear my whole body shattered like glass. I started shaking, hysterically crying, hyperventilating, everything. I go into my boss's office to return the call, I wait 5 minutes for the Dectivite to answer me. DCF comes on and says "your son is safe, hes at school", instant freaking out asking what is going on. Gonna skip some stuff here (personal info stuff); basically my ex got arrested on charges of crimes against children, namely MY son. I lost it, my boss told me to leave. I raced home to meet with DCf, then flew 30 minutes to where my son was at school. Then off another 45 minutes to meet with FBI, local PD, and therapist. In the end, I went to court got full/ sole custody of my son with NO visitations to his father. Eventually I had to tell my son a little about where dad was and why he was staying with me for so long.

Basically my babies under the same roof that they should have been all along. He started a new school and LOVES the bus. We are still adjusting but we are working it out. Its been a stressful month and exhausting month but I look forward to the better future for my son.
