Gassy baby? Legs up to help conception?

Question

I see a lot of pics being posted of newborns smiling. I heard that those are reflex smiles from gas lol. 
The pics are super cute don't get me wrong, but all I can think is awe how cute what a gassy baby! I read that their real smiles don't start until 6-12 weeks. 
Also I read that putting your legs up after sex does absolutely nothing to increase chances of conception. So when I see pics of girls with their legs in the air after sex,, yeah it's funny and cute but realistically I hope they know that's just a waste of time and the only thing it increases are chances of a UTI.  
I'm not a mom so maybe I just don't get it or get the struggle of trying to conceive. I'm not actively trying but not using contraceptives either. I'm just a wait and see type girl. 
Am I being insensitively realistic?

Well for the gassy baby thing, it depends. My daughter would smile a lot in the early weeks after her birth. Obviously not at anything specific but she wasn’t gassy. 
And for the legs up, yeah it doesn’t actually do anything but when you’re desperate to get pregnant either from having a hard time conceiving or just the excitement. It’s just a fun thing to feel like you’re helping the process. 
Most women know this as well. They know it doesn’t actually do much but like I said the feeling of helping. Plus, for infection wise you’d have be sitting like that for more than 30 minutes. Which I don’t think anyone does for that long lol. 
I think it’s a weird thing to have an opinion on if you haven’t had kids and aren’t looking to get pregnant lmfao but do you girl 🤷🏻‍♀️
