Having contractions since last night

Started getting contractions around 11 last night- they started getting to be about 5 minutes apart around 2am, so I called my doctor’s office. They told me to come to the hospital to get checked out. When they checked, I was at 3cm. When they checked again I was still at 3cm an hour later so they sent me home, told me to take a warm bath. Well I did that and it hasn’t made the contractions better. They haven’t gotten worse but have had them all day! Anyone else experience this?
