Cleared call history...?

So my bfs call history suddenly disappeared as well as his FaceTime history. He swears to me it just happened itself on his phone (iPhone 6S) and that he didn’t clear anything himself. Has anyone else’s iPhone just cleared their call history before? Or do you think he’s probably lying.

Mine did when I updated my software 🤷🏻‍♀️ he could be lying but he could easily be telling the truth

My iPhone has deleted things many times before. It’s also added pictures back onto my phone that I’ve deleted months before. iPhone are the worst.

In your settings you can have it set to delete calls, FaceTimes, voicemails, texts, and emails after a certain amount of time to save storage on your phone. He may just have that on and not realize it
