This is a heavy topic but I’m an experienced yet first time mama. Vaccines, thoughts and feelings? No one argue with anyone’s opinion, just want to get a better understanding of why or why people do or do not do it. Thank you. ☺️

I’m pro vaccines. Most of us were vaccinated as a kid and we (mostly) turned out fine, so I don’t understand how parents who were vaccinated don’t want their kids to be? Science has proven that the pros vastly outweigh the cons. Some people say they can’t stand to see their baby in pain. Listen...your baby won’t remember it. Give them extra cuddles and love and they will be just fine. 
Get vaccinated. Protect your kids, yourself, and those who are unable to be vaccinated. Period.

Herd immunity is why I vaccinate. When enough people dont vaccinate diseases grow stronger and we will start to see things we have never seen before. Please vaccinate your children for the sake of everyone!

We always vaccinate. Vaccines are the reason our infant and child mortality rates are so much lower now compared to 60 years ago. Vaccines are the reason we no longer have to worry for our babies lives being endangered by smallpox or polio or measles. So many people say it causes autism as well as other disabilities but that absolutely has NOT been proven and even if it is partially true. I would rather have a child with autism than watch my child die because I was selfish and wouldn’t vaccinate him against these diseases. Please vaccinate your children for their own safety as well as yours and everyone around you. No kids will be allowed around my kids if they aren’t vaccinated. Sorry not sorry 🤷🏻‍♀️ I will put my children first no matter what.

Years and years of research and agreement between doctors on the recommendation to vaccinate is why I vaccinate. Personally, I do it for herd immunity or community immunity. Basically to protect myself and others around me from illness that could easily be avoided. Illness that could lead to death or severe complications.

Honestly, this is a discussion to have with your pediatrician. Nothing in life is 100% risk free. But if you’re teetering on the decision consider the measles outbreak happening in WA state currently. A pocket of anti-vaxxers has caused a serious outbreak and that should scare more people into vaccinating. Why risk your child’s life over the possibility that they may receive a vaccine injury? Don’t take the advice of internet doctors who received their PhD from google. Anyone can put anything in the internet true or false and too many people are going off false information that they don’t truly understand because they aren’t actual medical professionals. 
I’m seriously hoping the anti-Vaxxers are currently sweating and kicking themselves for leaving their children vulnerable to so many serious illnesses as we are now starting to see the dangerous results of their ill informed decisions.

My daughter's pediatrican told us the other day when we took her in (she ended up having RSV) that she had two kids come in just last week with things that would have been prevented with vaccines. One had Whooping Cough and one had Chicken Pox. I may be wrong, but I believe she said they were both under the age of two. I don't love the idea of chemicals being injected into my kid, but I also won't let her end up with a horrible diease that was preventable either.
