Neither my husband nor I really celebrated Valentines a day until we got together. One of our first dates happened to be around On Valentines Day. 
When it came time to picking a wedding date my grandparents and aunts said “just do Valentine’s Day. Us old folks don’t celebrate it anyway..”
We did decide to get married on V-Day, four years ago, but only because we wanted to have a reason to celebrate love and we didn’t want to grow older and think it’s wasn’t important.
So I love my anniversary but I do believe valentines is overrated! 😂

I’ve always been single but I’m fine with it. I’m happy for the people that get to celebrate it together but I don’t care that I don’t get to 🤷🏼‍♀️ just another day for me.

I wouldn’t say hate. I just usually feel disappointed in humanity when corporate holidays like these pop up.
