28 weeks Spotting and coughing so hard my chest hurts

Ok opinions I just went yesterday to the doctor and had a 4d sonograma and baby was good baby was moving and she's moving today and found her with my Doppler heartbeat but I have been coughing because I guess I'm sick or got a cold but I've been taking the over the counter meds they said was ok for about four days now couhing so hard my chest hurts and I was wondering if maybe that was why I was bleeding/spotting and if I should go to the emergency room I'm 28 weeks
