When you have to drink two pints of water an hour before your scan!!.... Are they serious? I'm already a pint in and i need a pee 😂😅😂 OH this shall be fun, bladder please don't give in PLLLLEEEAAASSSEEEEEE. 😂😂

That’s weird lol here where I live they actually sent me to the bathroom to pee even tho I told them I don’t have to pee. The doctor told me I need to have a completely empty bladder

Interesting 🤔 I wish I had your doctor. I almost peed myself twice because on top of having a full bladder they press the ultrasound wand on the bladder/uterus area 😓

Not where I live. I had a lot of abdominal scans. I guess all doctors do it different.

I think you just have to have a full bladder 😂 it said this on my letter too, just made sure it felt full. That was fine lol x

oh don't say that 😂 I've had one of those before. And they don't hold back either on the pressing. I don't mind the 20 week scan but the 12 week they are firm with the machine thingy.

Oh god I was lucky, the toilet was round the corner 🤣 the worst is when you get someone who loves to press the machine into your stomach quite hard!

It's crazy it's going to be close i can feel it 😂😂 I'm sure one pint is more than enough haha. We will have to do the toilet wiggle dance just to keep things steady 😂😂

They never told me to drink a certain amount before the 20 week scan. My appointment was later and was struggling to hold it before we left and didn’t make it. I was trying hard to drink something before we left but I knew it wasn’t enough. Everything was fine though. Got all the pictures we needed with ease and wasn’t laying there uncomfortable the whole time either.

I never drink that much I drink 1 bottle half an hour before my scan and I’ve never had an issue. All bladders vary in size and I’m not interested in being horribly uncomfortable lol.

Just a tip for anyone in the future '2 pints' is recommended.you dont need to drink that much if your bladder isnt that big. Drink water until you feel like you need to pee but not busting and it will be full by the time of your scan

I did this and couldnt hold on because she was running late. Managed to pee just a little bit and then she told me that my bladder was super full still! I think as long as you feel like it's full that will be enough.
