Freaking Out

So it was confirmed today that I have a velamentous cord insertion. My OB explained that with a vaginal birth there is a risk of her cord ripping and suggested I deliver my girl via c-section. Now I am just in a tailspin. I did not want a c-section unless absolutely necessary, and now I feel like I'm stuck in a grey area because I do have the option of trying a vaginal birth. I obviously need more information, but currently I'm in a state of shock and panic.
