My birth story
I know it’s been a long 19 month since i had my baby but it’s better to be late than never.
At around 11pm on June 5th 2018, i had a very strong contraction that i had to call my husband from the living room and i told him my baby was ready to come out but he was too busy watching his favorite TV show. So i started packing my hospital bags, told him i was gonna drive myself if he didn’t answer me.
We left the house and arrived at the ER, the transported came to pick me but i offered to walk down. We got to the triage and the triage nurse check me, she said i was 0cm and not dilated at all. I told her i was having contractions but she said it doesn’t show on the monitor so she gave me 2 pills and those pills were meant to make me sleep. I was discharged 2 hrs after that was about 2am
At about 4am, when i was at home just lying in bed, i couldn’t take it any more so we went back to the hospital at 4am June 6th 2017. The nurses were so nice, they plugged the baby monitors and every other thing. I was really contracting but i was just 2cm dilated so the nurse gave me some medication to make me sleep. They also gave my husband a bed and we slept all through the night until a very strong contraction woke me up at around 10am. I called the nurse and she asked me to go to the jacuzzi if it could help. I did enter the Jacuzzi but it didn’t help
They gave me a laughing mask but i was still having every contraction, they were coming and going. They gave me a medication and i felt better
Fast forward to around 5pm, i was already 7cm i guess so i called for an epidural... oh my God, that was the best thing ever. I was relieved and slept for another 3 hrs. At about 9:30 pm, the epidural begins to worn off, and i started having real contraction... i call ed the nurse and they broke my water. The nurse checked me few minute later and i was 8cm... before the nurse could go & come back, i told my husband i wanna poop and he ran outside to go call the nurse. The nurse checked my and she was like whaoo, that was fast, you are ready. I kept shouting and shouting. I pushed for 5mins and my baby came out at 10:58pm June 6 2017. I was relived, did skin to skin and breast feed....
My baby is now 19 months and we have been trying for baby #2 for the past 14 months with no luck. Hopefully this month will b our month
