Anyone else plan to record the birth of baby ?

So, I am purchasing a camcorder and tripod so I can record my labor and delivery of baby. This being my last pregnancy and wishing I had done so with my first two I’ve decided why not ? I have so many plans for this birth as far as delayed cord clamping, going natural, being able to pull baby to chest with last push, skin to skin and breastfeeding ASAP and I want to capture every moment I can , including my older two meeting their younger brother and interacting as a family of 5!! I’m so excited for this 💙💙💙

That's great that they let you video! I'm pretty sure my hospital doesn't allow video in case you record something they can later be sued for... That in and of itself kinda makes me want to record it. Oh well. I think it will be my husband and mom in the delivery room. My mom will probably take pictures. I'd mostly like pictures of the three of us right after birth just to have. I'm pretty un-photogenic at baseline, so I'm assuming I'll look like true garbage during and after delivery. No one else needs to see it but us 🤣!

I love this app, I really do but some women are ridiculously opinionated and judgemental to the point it drives some women to get rid of this app all together which I think is so unfortunate. This is a place where ppl can come for suggestions, advice , reassurance , shared experiences , sharing their excitement etc and seeing some women shoot others dreams and shit down is so unnecessary and ashame. I mean personally no one will drive me to that point I’ll delete my post if I feel the need, act like I never saw the comment and move on but others won’t. This is why I have very few female friends, even friends period.

I would except they have a policy about recording the birth itself. Did you look into that?

Most hospitals I’ve been to will let you take pictures but won’t let you record.

I asked and they gave me the go ahead. So I did make sure I wasn’t wasting my money.
