Do you like the name Ellora (Nickname:Lola)

The name isn’t made up. It has significance in my native language

I love the name but don’t agree with the nickname. It doesn’t fit in my opinion. I suggest Ella or Lora or even just Elle. Don’t get me wrong I love the name Lola it doesn’t seem to work with It.

Billy isn’t a natural nickname for William. And Buck isn’t a natural nickname for Brian, but that’s what my cousin got called. You do you. And when they’re old enough, they can decide if they want to keep that nickname or not.

For everyone commenting on Lola not being a natural nickname: I hear ya and I know it might sound awkward at first. Unfortunately, we can’t go with Ellie or Elle as nicknames for personal reasons, and I really dislike Lora. 
And as someone else pointed out, Lola might not be a natural nickname for Ellora, but neither is Peg for Margaret or Kit for Christopher or Dick for Richard. And more importantly, Ellora is not a common name.

I wouldn’t get overly hung up on what’s a nickname for what. I go by Kate but my name is Kathryn. Only has 3 of the same letters and the beginning sound isn’t even pronounced the same. At least all the letters in Lola are in Ellora! Plus someone had to start calling Margaret’s “Peg” and James’s “Jim”. You do you!

it a pretty! my sister's ex boyfriend's mom's name is Eldora. only name I've ever heard similar to the name you like. but I would use like someone else said Ella, or Elle. Lola doesn't fit. I do however know a Lola & her granddaughters name is Lyla. both are beautiful as well!
