Getting pregnant after miscarriage

I have one son and miscarried yesterday. We want to start trying again after I stop bleeding and am cleared by my doctor. She said that if all looks good at my appointment in two weeks that we can start trying again. My question is, does the miscarriage “count” as the beginning of a new cycle or no? I was going to input it as a period in glow, but wasn’t sure if that was right. I know some friends of mine got pregnant before even getting their periods back.
