How do I tell him

I found out I had a miscarriage after not even knowing I was pregnant because I'm on birth control and now I don't know if I should tell my boyfriend. I don't know how he's gonna react because he talks so much about starting a family even though we're both just 21.

Should I tell him? How do I even start this conversation?
