Do you believe in oneirology - the study of dreams

Do you believe that dreams really mean something.
that our subconscious is tying to tell us something, make sense of a situation or emotions , or messages from the other side
Me and my partner were talking about this tonight , he told me a dream he had and we googled it and it explained everything perfectly and made a lot of sense to me but he just thinks dreams are just dreams and nothing else

I've done some research on Sigmund Freud's work, along with others. According to psychology, dreams can have multiple explanations, such as manifesting fears, or just being simple continuations of things we see in everyday life. Freud's theory was that dreams manifested our inner desires.

Research shows that dreams are our brains filtering and organising the days events, so it is possible that there are small meanings and running themes. However, do I believe that in a dream drinking a cup of apple juice or whatever means you’re pregnant? No. That’s a hard no from me

I believe sometimes they do mean something! If you think about it déjà vu is real to so I deff believe in meaningful dreams!

I believe dreams have some meaning but I think there’s a lot of crazy and false info out there. I think it’s our brain’s way of dealing with emotions and situations we’ve been in but I don’t believe there’s anything to be predicted from dreams. For years I would have dreams that involved death of myself, my loved ones, abduction and running away as common themes. It was horrible and I’d wake every single morning feeling as though it was real. I didn’t watch scary movies or tv or read horror novels, I have no idea where it came from! Thankfully haven’t had any dreams like that since I became pregnant with my first, I’m wondering if it was my birth control pill as it coincided with when I changed the type of pill I was on 🤷🏻‍♀️

Yes and no... 
I don't believe what most scientists say about dreams is true. 
I also think some dreams mean things while others don't. 
Like, last night I dreamt I took a picture of a cloud because it was shaped like a fist giving the middle finger... Lol
If its personal and you understand it, then maybe it means something... 
But my dreams are incredibly complex and strangely detailed.. I have an entire dream world... 
I always try to look up meanings sometimes they make sense sometimes they don't.
I don't think its a black and white subject, is what I'm trying to say...

I don’t believe in any “other side.” I think if you think about something or see something, it can occur or appear in a dream, but that’s it.

I think it’s your subconscious trying to work through and process things happening in you conscious life.  I’ve been having a lot of dreams recently that seem to be tied to a recent event in my life.  I think maybe if I spoke to someone professionally and worked through some of these feelings I’ve been having perhaps I would have fewer dreams revolving around this issue.  I don’t think its supernatural.
