Am I being irrational? Father / daughter in shower

My husband has no problem letting our 3 year old daughter see his penis. If he's in the shower and she needs to pee or something , he'll say come on in . keep in mind its a see through shower. he actually doesn't turn around , nothing. Just stands there a while she is amazed wondering what this part on a man is. I have to come in and say hey you stop that looking or tell him to turn around. He also will change clothes in front of her. Am I being irrational?

Yeah im going to say you are. The other day my husband and daughter took a shower together, shes 2. Last night he also changed in front of her. It will not last forever you. My daughter is fine for now not like she says ooh look penis or anything. She does say buttcrack though lol 🤷‍♀️

Are you never naked in front of her our three yr old is very comfortable with us and herself being naked and why shouldn’t she be in her own home? She climbs into baths with us and has always been that way.. why should anyone be ashamed of there body

Kind of.... it’s just a body part. It’s also her dad, and kids are naturally curious. I would tell her that it’s rude to stare and that private parts are meant to be private. Maybe ask him to be somewhat protective of his modesty towards her or anyone to model that behavior.

When I was a kid I don’t know if it was just normal to me or not but for about the first 4 years of my life if we were in a hurry as a family to be somewhere or something along those lines my mom would swap us kids in and out of the shower with my dad she would bring us one by one in the shower with him he would wash us and my mom would be waiting for us it’s actually a fond memory and I have no recollection of my fathers private parts I just remember him bathing us and once we were finished he would say ok knock on the wall of the shower mommy will come get you! And we thought that was so cool hahaha my mom would come in with a towel right out of the dryer so warm and cozy and she would put us on their bed where she has our clothes ironed and ready to go and pick up whoever was next in line out of us kids for the shower it was essentially a conveyor belt of bathing and dressing children lol but then again like I said it was nothing abnormal to us kids my parents found something that worked for them and went with it no harm done

I have a three year old son who sees me naked on a regular basis. If you start making an issue of it, kids get intrigued and psychological problems can actually spur form it. 
I think as a society we’ve become so clinical.

I see what you mean. I don’t think there’s any problem with parents being nude around their child but if I were him it would make me uncomfortable since she’s staring at his penis and asking about it... I actually have memories as far back as 4 years old and I would be traumatized af having to remember my dads penis. Not something I want to visualize EVER. 😂

Personally I think he is acting completely normal and that is how we behave in our home. My husband and I don’t flaunt our naked selves in front of our children (8,5,4) but if we are in the shower/bath or getting changed and the kids come in we don’t go out of our way to cover ourselves. We have two boys and a girl and between us it’s never been a big deal and there have never been any issues. Personally I think it’s only an issue if you make it one. Xx

My husband showers with our kids and has said that he won’t do so when she hits a certain age. But she also bathes with her little brother. So she knows boys have penises and girls have vaginas. She tells me a lot that she has a jina lol. She is 2.5.

She’s three, and he’s her dad lots of kids that age still shower with their parents I don’t see a problem with it at this age. Is it not okay for a boy at that age to take showers with him mom? As long as it’s just the parents and it’s explained to her that it’s a private part of the body that she should keep to herself then it’s perfectly okay.
