Do you need to be smart to get somewhere in life?

I wouldn’t consider myself to be smart but I’m not dumb. These past 2 years I’ve been going to online school, I’ve learned a little but not too much/not as much as I would if I was at regular school. Do you need to be smart to go to college? Do you need to be smart to get somewhere in life? Will I even be successful in the future?😒 Idk I just don’t feel like I’m smart & this is making me think that I’ll have no future & will get nowhere in life. I’m a junior, 17 & just have been thinking about my future & about school & stuff. Idk I just don’t think I’ll have a bright future. I wouldn’t say I’m smart but I’m definitely not stupid lol so does me not being smart make me less of a person? Will people think less of me? Idk what if people don’t think I’m intelligent or smth. I know there are people out there who are really smart & are smarter than me.

I just don’t think I’m as smart as other people/there are people who’re smarter & better at things than me just makes me think I’m stupid. And me not learning these past 2 years has just made me think that I’m dumb. I know I’m not but since switching schools I can’t help but feel this way

My brother also saying “YoU cAnT dO sImPlE mAtH hOw ArE yOu GoNnA bE aN Rn” also made me feel like shit. He’s making it seem like I’m a dumbass which I’m not. (He asked me something and I wasn’t listening and just told him to be quiet & then he said that🤣). Plus it was probably some stupid question. I can do math .-.
