Is gender disappointment real?

Just very curious on this topic!
I do a have a baby girl and we definitely want more babies but just thinking about the future gender of our kids has me intrigued. My SO wants a boy next and I want a girl so just wondering about all this has me thinking about what everyone thinks of gender disappointment because I’ve seen it happen with close friends and family. 
How did you deal with it? 
Was it hard to bond?
Did it ever go away? 
Side note: I would be EXTREMELY happy with either!❤️ babies are a blessing no mater what

Ok this is hard because you had many questions and I want to answer them but I can’t see what they are while typing!!
Gender disappointment is REAL. I not only wanted a girl, but literally never considered the fact that my baby could be a boy. I mean I had never been around baby boys... picked out girls names, wanted all of it... going into my ultrasound I KNEW it was a girl. 
Yep you guessed it, boy. I was crushed. But you know what, the more HE moved, the more HE hiccuped, the closer I got to HIS due date, the more I was so elated to have a boy. By the time he was born, my hormonal self was actually PITYING women having girls!
My son is a joy and the light of my life. My husband and I are trying again and although a girl would be nice, a huge part of me wants another baby boy just like mine. 
So yes, it is real. And yes, it goes away, and yes absolutely, something so much bigger replaces it!!!
