Potty training boys?!🤔

Question

My son is 15 months old, I know he’s in no way ready to be potty trained. I bought the little seat in the picture for the simple fact that it was on sale at target lol. I put him on it to see how he’d react! 
My question is when did you start potty training your little boy(s)? What worked or didn’t work? I’m in no way going to rush it but I’d like to start before he’s two if he starts showing signs 🙂

We’ve been training for about 6 months now. Mostly bc some people cough cough my husband and daycare have been lazy about it 🙄
We started at 18 months though. I plan to just bite the bullet and do underwear soon. 
Just be consistent. I swear he’d be trained by now if all adults involved were consistent.

We did naked from waist down with our first.  The next two we took off the diaper and prayed.
All of our kids were late trainers and difficult trainers.  There is a genetic component to potty training so it might help to know how old you and your husband were when you trained.  I trained at 2 and my husband was closer to 4.  Our older two trained at 3.5 and our third pee trained at 2.5, but poops in a diaper (he holds it for mommy...it is great being the chosen one).

My first was 25 months, consistency and being home for a while week with dad did it. My second was closer to 28-29 months and he was more difficult. It took a good month or more and just doing my best to be consistent while working too.

My 3 year old isn’t potty trained. Nothing has worked because he is stubborn and says he needs his diapers. It’s so frustrating. 
My 2 year old isn’t either but he also isn’t able to talk so we are working on that first because he won’t show any signs or tell us in any way. 
Just don’t force it. That makes it worse. I feel like us pushing it on the older one made him dig his heels in more.

when they start showing interest in the potty. but so many kids are different. 
right now I nanny for two twins 3 years old and mom is finally having them start, one of the boys you can catch him going poop because he hides, so that's when I tell him let's go try the potty! and then he's basically set for success and gets so excited to flush bye bye to his poop. 
I've done methods where you put undies on and every 5 minutes (set a timer) you use the potty. then you start increasing the time (10, 15, 20) I spent a few days doing this with my old nanny job and it worked perfectly. we also put a sticker on our chart every time he went. (this child had also been in pull-ups for a week or so before hand) 
I had a child in daycare who was having a hard with pull ups and communication wasn't a strong point, his mom went cold turkey- straight into undies and that first time he peed he hated it so much, that when he had to go again he actually started communicating better with us and would fly to the bathroom!
