Anyone using alternative forms of birth control?

I’m so tired of being on birth control. It makes my sex drive nonexistent. I’ve tried 3 different types and have currently been on nuva ring for about 9 months. 
I’m just so desperate to feel like myself again! Does anyone use/have tips for any different methods to avoid pregnancy, like pull out method, or rhythm method?

I used natural cycles. But you need to be very responsible while you use something like that. I used it successfully while preventing. Now I use it along with this app for TTC

If you're going to do natural family planning, I highly recommend taking a class on it first and using condoms until you get the hang of charting.

We used pull out method for 7 years. Then he "forgot" to pull out and we now have an 8 week old. We're using pull out method again now. We kind of had the mind set if it happens it happens and we're back to that now.

I stopped the pill for this reason and started doing the natural family planning (BBT and charting) got pregnant the first month 🤦🏻‍♀️. 
I’m pretty sure it works if you do it properly, I just didn’t lol. So be careful if you don’t want to get pregnant (we were ok if it happened).

We used pull out method for years without any scares but you definitely have to be careful. I was on drop for a really long time before that and I liked it a lot.

How about you just talk with your doc about non-hormonal forms of bc, like a non hormonal IUD or a cervical cap and spermicide or something actually reliable.. which pullout method is not, and rhythm method only is if you are serious about tracking your fertility and ovulation, and actually abstaining during those times. I have 2 friends who used the rhythm method. One has 3 kids. The other has 6. The abstaining part is the hard part, apparently. 
And for the record, only 3 types of birth control is a very very small percentage of the different types of hormonal birth control out there. I would think it isn't unreasonable that it may take several tries to find the right fit. Just something to consider.

I used VCF for 6 months with no issues at all. Got pregnant within a week after I stopped using. It could end up being expensive depending on how much sex you have ($10 for 9 films).
