Glucola and Gestational Diabetes Testing

Ladies, is there anyone out there that is kind of concerned about the contents of glucola and taking the glucose test? I just feel like there are other identifying factors to rule out Gestational Diabetes. I pee in a cup every doctors visit and not one has been abnormal. Wouldnt they detect sugar in the urine then? I'm feeling super pressured into lots of things that make me feel uncomfortable and before someone says "Its not about you its about your child." Yeah, I'm concerned about her well being too with all of these shots and drinks and excessive tests and contents of what I consume to conduct them.

Facts and statistics are preferred instead of just those who do what their doctor says without question.
