My whole life, I believed I was nearly 50% Brazilian, roughly 25% German, and roughly 25% Italian.

My dad was SUPPOSED to be mostly German and Italian...

Turns out he’s only 3.5% Italian!

40% British/Irish!

And my mom is 80% Brazilian/Portuguese, which we knew. But she’s also 20% Sub-Saharan African, which was probably from her dad’s side of the family.

I’m just so shocked that I’m not Italian. It’s like part of my life has just been stripped away from me.

For so long we were Italian...but now in one simple test, we’re from the UK. 200 years ago they never kept records of where people lived that much.
