Do we over share?

I was speaking to a friend this afternoon and she was talking about so many people post their personal life a lot. Their kids what’s going on in their personal lives, who their partners are ect. Lack of privacy I guess.

She also mentions how she hasn’t spoken or even seen a lot of them for almost 10 years yet knows what is going in their lives

Now we have social media its made that easier than ever

EDIT: I know a lot of you are mentioning family. That’s great! Ofcourse we want to know what’s going on with family/friends that live far. But to clarify that is talking about people you once knew. We’re not close to at all. Maybe you went to the same school ect. You mostly know them by just name no further relation
