Does anyone else feel their IUD?

Hi ladies. I got the Kyleena IUD about 4 months ago and more often than not both me and my boyfriend feel it during sex. It is not just a slight discomfort, it actually cuts the tip of his penis to the point where it bleeds. For me, I get a sharp pain in my uterus (similar to the pain felt when it was inserted). I just want to know if this is normal and if anyone else experiences this. Thanks!

That's not normal in most cases, it does take about 3 months for the strings of your IUD to soften, but I would check the strings/IUD because the IUD itself can shift, I also would call your doctor just to get it checked for infection or if your body is rejecting it.

No. Have you checked your strings? If you feel hard plastic the IUD is out of place. I would call your doctor to see if they can shorten the strings.

I had the mirena. And definitely get that checked out. I felt the exact same way with awful cramps and my husband felt it during sex, it poked him. And well I just got it taken out last week because it was misplaced. And now I'm waiting to see if I'm pregnant and I'm really hoping for my period. 
So definitely get that checked out.
