Baby hiccups?

Okay... so I’m experiencing baby having hiccups for the first time and damn it is a lot more than I thought! This feels like a stupid question but do they eventually become a problem? Like should I be concerned at all? Also, how long do your babies hiccups usually last? Sorry for my ignorance...

It’s pretty normal, no cause for concern. My baby hiccups regularly a few time a day any where from a few min ,10-20min.

My daughter hiccups all the time, even multiple times a day lol! I haven’t heard if they’re anything to be concerned about, so I wouldn’t worry, mamma!

Fetal hiccups are completely normal & actually a positive sign of development. Your little one is practicing the use of his/her diaphragm which is important after birth.

I wouldn't go researching it too much, you might freak yourself out, and I think the general consensus is that the baby is practicing breathing, BUT if your in a position that might be apply pressure to the baby you may want to move out of that position and see if they stop

No, you shouldn’t be concerned. My daughter used to have them like 6 times a day, I’ve never heard of them being anything to worry about, it’s usually from swallowing amniotic fluid 😂

Mine has the hicups three or four times a day for 20-25 minutes

I asked my OB about hiccups, she said its a great sign because the high levels of coordination needed between the nervous system/brain and the muscles involved. She said baby gets extra points for hiccuping so I guess that means my little girl is living her best life because she has the hiccups around 3-4 times a day!

It’s normal nothing to be worried about, my little girl has hiccups majority of the day and since she’s head down and engaged into my pelvis I can feel them so define it tickles😭

My son has the hiccups at least three times a day. They are just practicing their breathing skills in there! Nothing to be concerned about
