Random contractions all day?

I’ve been having contractions on and off all day... they aren’t regular but they are intense. I did have a cervical check today I am 1.5 centimeters dilated and 50% effaced I’m 35 weeks and 3 days. Wondering if anyone else is feeling these? I am also feeling him push down a lot. It’s freaking me out. This is my fourth baby if that makes a difference

I had this earlier this week.  Ended up being false and talked to doc about it.  She explained that labor is started (for real) when there is a certain amount of prostaglandins released, when you hit that threshold there is no turning back.  But in the weeks leading up, your body will practice and release some resulting in false labors, that are random and subside.  Think of it as a test run.  I kind of suspected that was happening the other day and decided not to time them until it felt like they were progressing in intensity and frequency, and felt regular.

That’s what I’ve been experiencing after my cervical checks. Especially the pushing down. So I’m gonna say relatively normal.

Totally normal. Body is preparing for birth as is baby. I’m on my 3rd and my body has been doing the same. I’m 37w5d 3cm 50% effaced.
