Struggling to conceive after miscarriage

So I have had 4 pregnancies. The last pregnancy was a miscarriage at 18 weeks. I’m on month 7 of ttc. I was wondering if anyone have ever went to see their obgyn or got a 2nd opinion? Have the miscarriage messed up your reproductive stuff? I find it to be extremely ironic that I’m now struggling to get pregnant again. Honestly with all 4 of my pregnancies it all took one try. With my miscarriage I had to give a birth. The placenta wouldn’t even pass. The doctor at the hospital stuck her fingers up in my uterus and tried to scoop them out with her fingers. Then I had a D&C... went back for a follow up but was never checked. I honestly feel like that all that trauma that was done to my uterus is the reason to why we have yet conceived. I want to know if anyone else have had the same issues and what was their result.
