Sleep training ?? Help ?

Question

I have a 7 and a half month old and I breastfeed..  I got him into a habit of always dream feeding him and I’m so exhausted from it! I’m a SAHM but I would really like to have him be able to fall asleep on his own, he refuses to fall asleep with anyone else! Won’t take a bottle, only wants me :( any suggestions on sleep training and what method? Honestly please don’t say just let him cry it out I’m not that strong willed! Lol

Have you introduced solids yet? A meal with food to fill that tummy as best as you can before bed. And honestly sleep training is letting them cry it out a bit, it does suck 😢 but it is really worth it. Our dr said go in every 15 mins and rub their back tell them you love them and tell them it is time for bed give a kiss (do not pick them up) and repeat every 15 mins every night and it should start getting better. If that is not an option (some kids it’s not I understand that our second was too sensitive to handle that emotionally) then you just have to wait till they are ready 🤷🏼‍♀️. Our first was a sleep training champ she did it at 3 months and was sleeping through the night by 7 months but would only wake up for a feeding and go back down after that but it only took her a few nights to lay in her crib at bedtime without crying. Of third sleep trained herself honestly we never had to do it.

It’s normal to nurse to sleep and wake during the night to nurse, especially the first year. Breastsleeping is a life saver and keeps your supply up. It’s not a bad habit and they grow out of it on their own. Hang in there. My oldest stopped nursing to sleep and night waking around 15 months.
