I have a lot of out of town family (on my side) that I am inviting to my baby shower. In January i emailed and asked all of them which of 3 weekends (2 in May 1 in June) was best for them and it got narrowed to two fairly quickly. Around that same time we had a party with my mother in laws side of the family, and my MIL and others were all asking when my shower would be so i told them most likely in late May or june.

I finally heard from the last person i was waiting on and it vetoed the date in June.

So last weekend my mom and sister come over and we start planning, and we book a beautiful large gazebo in a park (which is non-refundable).

I text my MIL after and tell her shower is booked for May to which she then proceeds to say "were not going to be back from out of town with my 4 friends" (2 of which were also on my guest list). 🤦 wouldve been nice if she had told me she wasnt going to be here... At this point im like 🤷.

But my question is, do i still send them all an invite even though I know they cant make it?
