My mom fell and broke her foot the other day, today she finally got to come home after having surgery to put a rod in. But is Walker bound for the next few weeks and also has to have her cast for 6-8 weeks. She’s having a hard time getting up and down the steps as they’re too narrow for her walker, It worries me because I can help her during the day and all but what will she do if I’m asleep at night and can’t be there to help her? She’s very independent so knowing her she won’t even try to wake me up to get her up the steps. I just need some sort of ideas as to how I can make it easier for her. She has to hop up them with one foot which is tiring on her because she’s having to use all her weight on that one foot.
