Flat spots what’s really a worry ?

My newborn is 6 weeks old and has a hardly noticeable flat spot! 
But he sleeps on his back in a crib so it’s not due to any contraption at night time (rock and play, swing, etc.) the only other place he sleeps is in the bed with us for a few hours (slowly getting over needing that!) 
But I noticed the spot is on the side of his head that he always turns too! 
Since it’s not severe at this point will it correct itself ? Anyone have this issue ?

It's possible he has torticollis (stiff neck). I think it can usually clear up on it's own, but my daughter had that and a flat spot on her left side (she was always looking to the left), and we saw a physical therapist who helped fix it and strengthen her neck muscles and fix her flat spot. We also did neck stretched and other exercises daily to help. Not that you would need it, but it's something to be aware of.

It may not correct itself. Bring it up with your doctor. My son had a small flat spit at 6 months and it got worse and we had to get a helmet
