What do I need

So we’re finally going baby shopping next weekend , I’m due March 30th but I have no idea what to get. What are some must have items? And what are some that are useless so we make sure not to get it. We have a lot of clothes for 3-6 and 6-9 months we didn’t really get NB or 0-3 at our baby shower

I didn’t get many NB clothes at all at my shower, we were told the whole pregnancy that the baby was big. He was born at 37 weeks weighed 7.10 so we needed NB clothes! Hubby had to go to the store & it was really the last thing I wanted him to do once me & baby were home!

All of the above. I'm going to be a first time mom but the previous comments sound like good advice. A place for baby to sleep and a car seat. My friends recommended getting a rock and play so you can put baby down for a minute to do dishes or even take it in the bathroom with you so you can take a shower and keep an eye on them. I'm not sure what the age is on those. My sister likes the boppy newborn lounger for her little babies for supervised laying around. My mom said lots more clothes and receiving blankets than you think you need because they spit up and make messes often.

You need somewhere for the baby to sleep. Clothes .. washcloths.. a bath ..bath towels feeding supplies a swing a stroller a glider

Travel system was a lifesaver for me. Swing, we used gerber cloth diaper inserts instead of burp clothes, wipes (as a new baby), milk cleaner uppers. Anything really. I got one pack of aden and anis swaddle brankets and used them for a car seat cover, feeding cover, sun canopy, swaddle ect. Sound machine is key in our house with 2 dogs. We bought a non baby one with white noise and other sounds. A jar of aquaphor...diaper rash preventor, rashes in belly, craddle cap. Waste of money, hooded towels and baby wash clothes. For baby #2, i am going to get thin soft wash clothes...the baby ones are never fresh after a few months. And my LO hated hoods. Good luck!

I would get 0-3 and diapers. I'm not sure what all you have  but you'll need either a bassinet or a crib. Or both. The crib is for later. I would have a nose Frida. Basic grooming kit stuff. You dont need a lot for them. Its mostly a place to sleep, diapering stuff. And whatever you want in the nursery. I think one of the most useless things are wipe warmers. Dont buy that. A boppy for nursing helps but you can always use and pillow under your arm if funds are tight. We have a rocking chair, diaper changing station, dresser, play mat, swing, bouncer, and crib in the nursery. But the bassinet is bedside and that's where baby will sleep for first few months.
