Baby Crying Out Gas Pain

My EBF 7 week old started crying out a week ago. He has always had a lot of gas but now he cries out in pain when he has gas or before he needs to go poop. I took him to the doctor on Friday and she said it's either something I ate or colic. He has always been such a good baby and seriously never cried before he turned 6 weeks. I know he's in pain because he throws his legs out and after he expels lots of gas he is happy again. I have cut out dairy, tried mylicon, gripe water, and prune juice. I don't know what else I can do. My mom instinct is telling me something is wrong but the doctor didn't seem to be concerned at all because he's pooping and gaining weight.

Anyone have suggestions?
