Plenty of milk but cannot pump enough?!

Question

I have plenty of milk for my baby but whenever I pump I hardly get anything. If I squeeze my breast I get a big squirt of milk from many opening but this doesn't happen during pumping. Any advice?

I had a similar issue and had to get smaller flanges. Now I can pump no problem! Look up flange measurements and make sure that isn’t an issue

Pumps don't work as well as baby for a lot of women. I was the same way. Baby would take in a lot of milk while I would only pump a small amount.

Looks like the pump is not been used correctly, make sure the suction is well and also watch videos for help x

Make sure it's fitting right (like the flanges aren't too small or big) and you're pumping at a good speed/pull strength. I only had to pump while baby was in the hospital (RSV at 3 months and pumped for her feeding tube), and I had to have the on-site lactation consultant help me with it all.
