I had my son when I was 20, it was unplanned and I’m a single mom, but it’s the best thing that’s ever happened to me. Sure it’s going to be hard eventually (he’s only 6 months) but I’ll always have him and  he’ll always have me ♥️ But by all means, enjoy being young and wait at least until you’re financially stable and got a roof over your head.

I got married at 20 and got pregnant shortly after my 21st birthday. I’m a military spouse and a damn good mom, senior in university and pregnant with our 2nd baby. It’s situational. Not all 20 year olds are ready to settle down like I was. I never wanted the party phase and I have always been more mature than my age on paper (thanks to life trauma). Not everyone is that way and parenting isn’t for everyone, regardless of age.

I wouldn’t suggest getting pregnant at the age of 20 you change and grow so much in your 20’s I feel like you have to live a little before getting pregnant. If you already are pregnant, congratulations because a baby is never a mistake, but if you’re not pregnant yet I wouldn’t suggest it not at the age of 20 unless you’re Kylie Jenner and own half the planet so you can take care of yourself and your baby incase the shit hits the fan. 🤷🏼‍♀️

It depends. Also you may be ready but you’re still young, wait a few years to just live first. Once you have a kid you gotta wait like 18 years to be in your own with your SO again

Do you have career and or skills to support yourself in case the relationship between you and the father of your baby go awry? Do you have 3-6 months of your salary saved in case you lose your job? Do you have a job? What about maternity leave? Do you have insurance (if you don’t live in Canada) to assist in the birth of your child? Do you have a stable place to live? Do you have a car? If you answered no to the majority of those questions then yes, it’s too young to have a child. 
Also at 20 there is so much life to live than to care for a child! Of course there are 20 year olds that pick this life. But travelling, exploring, learning new things, working on yourself, the freedom to pack up and go whenever you please is the essence of this age! Choose wisely.
