hymen breaking or period?

so a few days ago my boyfriend and I had sex (it wasn’t the first time but he actually went all the way in as it has been painful previously to do so), and I got my ‘period’ whilst going at it. all was fine and we just laughed it off, but it’s been 3 days since then and I haven’t bled accept from the tiniest bit. from the amount of blood when the occurrence had happened, I was almost certain it was my period. is it normal for there to be A LOT of blood when breaking your hymen? I’m 100% sure it broke but I’m doubting whether the blood came from that or whether it came from my period itself.
