Hi so I need some advice...

Last week my boyfriends dad smashed his phone (he has issues it was a whole situation but this is long story short) and since then he’s been having to use his parents phone to call me. I don’t mind this however, things have Been getting tough lately. We went from texting and talking all day to FaceTiming for ab 30 minuets a night. I love him with all my heart but it’s just been tough. He said that his parents will get him a new phone but he recently talked to them and they’re reconsidering that thought. It’s just been annoying bc I wanna talk to him. Communication is key. But waiting for him to call on his one of his parents phone hurts me bc it’s for so little time. He asked if we’re alright and I said yes but it’s been rough lately and he agrees. I just don’t know what to do.
