Irregular periods?

So I stated my period in August of 2016 and I never get regularly! I have it sometimes every 2 months or 3 I only had every month twice before. They get more irregular basically as time goes on. Idk what that means, but my cousin says it could mean I’m infertile or something!

It doesn't necessarily mean you are infertile. When I was a teen and in my 20s I had 2 periods a year. I had tests done and hormones checked. Drs couldn't tell me why this was happening. I got pregnant within a month of trying my first 2 pregnancies and it took a few months for my 3rd. I did become more regular after having my first baby though. Now in my 30s I have around 10 periods a year. My cycle is irregular but it's normal for my body. As a teen it can be normal for your period to not be regular. If it doesn't become regular it's a good idea to get out by a dr. But also know that irregular periods are pretty common and doesn't always mean there's a problem. Learn to track your cycle and the irregular period won't feel so irregular because you'll start to learn about when you'll have you'll next period.

I'm in the same boat my periods have always been irregular except once or twice in my life then I got pregnant and after I gave birth I was on bc and they were regular but as soon as i stopped they went back to being irregular.
