How were you diagnosed with a mental disorder?

I honestly believe I might have some kind of mental disorder... which is quite the odd thing to say lol. 
Anyways. I’m struggling with my mental health. I’m paranoid about everything. Literally everything. 
I want to speak to my doctor about this but idk how to say it.

Try finding a psychiatrist. They can answer questions and will also ask you questions to help diagnose you. I knew I had a mental health issue since I was 16 and that’s when I talked to one

I was sectioned and ended up in a psychiatric hospital which is where I ended up being diagnosed... I don't recommend that option but going to a psychiatrist would be beneficial as they're the ones trained in mental health and can give you a proper diagnosis if necessary

My mom took me to a psychiatrist after she found out I was self harming and I was diagnosed then.

I always just knew something was wrong and they way I felt wasn’t how everyone felt or reacted the way I did. Spoke to the dr and yep I have bad anxiety and depression.
